The variety in the game of keno is one reason why it is so popular. Beyond the traditional style keno in which bets are made on the numbered ticket, there are other varieties from which players can choose their favorite. One is the horse racing Keno. This variety has its roots in the origin of the game in Nevada.

50 years ago when it first arrived keno to the West Coast, every number that came out was associated with a horse race.
